Devices sold before October 2019 - Laser profiler-PDA (Acceca or Janam) - are used with a wired link to guarantee the result of the measurements made.

However, the supplied TRUPULSE laser is equipped with a Bluetooth link. In these conditions, the simple replacement of the PDA by a tablet is enough to have the new Laser-Tablet Profiler and thus benefit from all the improvements that have been made on the October 2019 version: new Android software, 7" screen, IP67 protection, Bluetooth link, automatic edition of a report in « pdf » format...
